I'm Alison Shaloe, I support women through life's important transitions and rites of passage
I am Alison Shaloe, a Midwife, Lactation Consultant, Author, Reiki Practitioner, and Spirit Baby Guide with over 30 years’ experience supporting women, babies, and families.
For much of my career, I have worked within maternity care, infant feeding, and complex breastfeeding challenges. I have specialised in tongue-tie assessment and division since 2007 and have performed over 10,000 procedures. I have worked as a service lead within a specialist tongue-tie clinic in North London, and have supported thousands of families to help their babies feed more comfortably and effectively. I also trained as an NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor and remain registered and insured within my professional practice.
Alongside this clinical work, I have supported women through conception, pregnancy, birth, and experiences of loss. Over time, I became increasingly aware that these life transitions are not only physical, but deeply emotional and personal, often carrying layers of meaning, identity change, and transformation.
Following significant personal losses in my own life, my work has begun to shift even more profoundly. These experiences have deepened my understanding of grief, connection, and the unseen dimensions of love and relationship, and has influenced the direction of my work moving forward.
This has naturally led me to expand into Reiki healing, spirit baby connection sessions, and supporting women through life’s important transitions and rites of passage through ceremony. My work now offers a more holistic space where women can explore their experiences, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and receive compassionate support on their journey.
My intention is to bring together my professional healthcare background with a deeper sensitivity to intuition, healing, and the sacred nature of the motherhood journey and beyond.
